Michelle Yeoh

Biography
This beauty, like her friend, Jackie Chan, did her own stunts. Remember that motorcycle jump in Supercop? Yep, that was all her, but she paid for it, with bumps and bruises. Formerly, married to D & B Films owner Dickson Poon, one of the riches men in Asia. She made a few action movies as "Michelle Khan" before announcing her retirement, because of a reoccurring back injury. Only to bounce back into the saddle and continue making films under the name - Michelle Yeoh.
She can handle action really well. I liked her a lot in Royal Warriors, she's fast, agile, her acting is good, and she's nice to look at. I'd like to see Samo Hung take her under his wing for a while, so we can see what she's really capable of, the closet thing being Ah Kam - Stuntwoman (where she initially injured her back doing a stunt). She kind of reminds me of Hui Ying-Hung, when she's at her best. Yet, for the "Top Female Action Star of Asia", you'd think she should step the pace up a bit.
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon helped establish her here in the States, but I like her best, without the wirework, which is so overused nowadays. Stars like the sexy Yukari Oshima or Moon Lee, could have easily replaced her in the action department, but she pulled a few strings (pun intended), came to America and beat them to the punch. So, now we'll have to wait and see if her success was just perfect casting or if she really has the goods to stay on top in America. Only time will tell.
