Biography
Another Peking Opera graduate, where some of his classmates included Robert Tai, Peng Kang, and Chiang Sheng, so you know he was well-trained. Like many Taiwanese actors during the mid-70's, he was snapped up by Chang Cheh. He bacme luckier than most and received a starring-role in the film The Fantasic Magic Baby, which led to roles in Marco Polo and 7 Man Army. The majority of his films utilized his comedic talents and his acrobatic abilities, more than his fighting skills. The first film that I remembered him in, was Cantonen Iron Kung Fu, which served as a springboard, for his comedic talents.
He's not too use to long, lengthy fights, as they usually wear thin after a while. While a number of his roles call for him to meet his demise, he has had a share of films that have brought his talents into the limelight. A gifted acrobat, who can pull off some impressive moves, he's had more than ample screen-time to show us what he can do. In Kung Fu Commandos, he got to display just a small portion of his skill, as far as his talents are concerned. Yet, he was totally under-used in the film, The Flight Of The Angry Dragon.

Films like Death Duel Of The Mantis and Peculiar Boxing, Tricks, & Master, gave him the chance to truly shine before the cameras. Here, all of his skills came into play, from the acting to the acrobatics. He also fared well in films such as The Crane Fighters and Iron Swallow, both starring the lovely and talented, Chia Ling. Yet, it was an earlier movie with veteran Chen Sing, the really put him on the map. The film, Heroes of Shaolin (shot when he was just a teenager), shows that he had achieved a very high skill-level, even in his youth.
