Biography
Another actor who was usually used in menacing type roles, though he was not one to go up against the heavy-hitters of the kung-fu world (Wang Jang-Li, Wang Lung-Wei, or anybody in this league, because they were "Younger and Stronger" and came around after he had peaked as a villain). His roles seem geared towards, not trying to get involved with fighting of any kind.
His was the look of a Monk or someone, who couldn't to go one round with the hero or villain, even though he stood 6 feet tall. He was, basically, a big Teddy-bear, who seldom got the interesting fight scenes. It seemed that, he was used as another body to beat or back up a gang, because he didn't have expert skill in the fighting arts. Like Yang Tse-Lin, who got roles where he had to look vicious (though he never quite pulled it off), he was more of a "background" fighter, to say the least.

Since it seems that actors came a "Dime-a-dozen", he never really found his place in such films as Secret Of The Dirk and The Fate Of Lee Khan. He had a "Do nothing" role in the film, The Casino, where he just looked at the money, he had in his hand. This was sad, as there were a number of fight scenes, where he could have been utilized. Shaw Brothers had produced so many films, there was no reason for him (or any other actors) to have to struggle, to find good roles.
