Biography
One of Shaw Bros' leading men during the 60's, his acting left others in the dust, when it came to Dramatic roles. He was an excellent actor in most of the "Tear-jerkers" that were the mainstay at that time. Movies like Unfinished Melody and Song Of Tomorrow saw him lighting up the screen with the type of energy that actors like Ling Yun and David Chiang would later display.
He played Angela Mao's dad in the interesting (and under-rated) Golden Harvest classic, The Himalayan. Having appeared with actresses from Li-Li Hua to Ivy Ling-Po, he has definitely left his mark on Asian cinema. His daughter is the sexy Rosamund Kwan, who has successful carved out a film career for herself, for years.

He would later go on to Produce films such as Shaolin Deadly Kicks and Godfathers Of Fury, both featuring "Super-kicker" Tan Tao-Liang. Older patrons who grew up in his era, still hunt for his movies (Too Late For Love and The Black & The Blue) until this day. And with these gems being remastered, it's only a matter of time before he has a whole new generation of fans. A time of love, grief, and tragedy (as well as great story-telling), never dies.
