Biography
A face that has been seen in too many movies to count, he's an actor whose presence is synonymous with "Theft and Deception". It's not uncommon to see him behind the table dealing Tiles (the #1 game played in kung-fu films). Far from a fierce fighter, as he can't fight at all, but he'll beat (cheat) you to death at the Gambling Table. More comfortable with beating you out of your money, than your clothes, he is usually caught trying to cheat Wong Yu or just about anybody he can.
In the film The Young Dragon, he was caught trying to force females into Prostitution and in Super Power he played Hau Sau-Seng's teacher, who trained him to settle old scores. Some of his better films that show him in his true form are Snake In The Eagle's Shadow, The Young Avenger, and Lackey & The Lady Tiger. These films will give you insight on the types of characters he's excelled at in these films.
Sometimes playing the role of the wise man, but never showing the skills that we watch kung-fu movies for, he's an excellent character actor just the same. He has appeared with everyone from Jackie Chan to Chow Yun-Fat, and though he seems more comfortable in kung-fu movies than most fighters, if he could take those Gambling skills and turn them into fighting skills, he could have probably starred in a string of successful kung-fu films.
