Biography
This Monkey Stylist, was sight to behold, from the first punch to the last kick. He moves with the style and grace of a veteran. He does it with such ease he can literally steal the action from the Star if they're not careful. His Drunken Style, displayed in Snake In The Monkey's Shadow, left an instant impression on me. He was a very skillful performer, who was a (real) martial-artist first and an actor, second.
He's starred in (3) films with Billy Chong movies to good effect, but he really hit the jackpot with films like 5 Super Fighters and Stroke Of Death, because the focus was now on him. He handles action well and can play a first-class villain or the hapless Hero. In The Jade Claw he battled Chu Te-Hu and he saw the type of intensity (and viciousness) a villain was supposed to have.
He, himself, showed that type of viciousness, when he played the ruthless Tang See-Min, in the awesome Super Power. Outside of top-notched performers like Chen Kuan-Tai and Hsiao Ho, and Pomsom Shi, he does excellent Monkey forms and definitely knew his stuff. As a villain, while, he didn't do all the fancy kicks or "over-the-top" portrayals, but, he had a certain intensity, that he brought into his roles.
