Biography
One of my favorite actresses, she had great potential in fighting roles (something that I don't think she wasn't too comfortable with), though she did a very good job in Blast Of The Iron Palm. If you caught her in Shaolin Vs Wu-tang (as Wang Lung Wei's sister) you saw the potential I was talking about. While, many felt that director Chang Cheh didn't like using females in his films, she was (possibly) his favorite actress to use in his films.
She is the daughter of veteran Shaw actor Ching Miao, who obviously was very proud of her. She has racked up a great deal of movie roles where she could sink herself into her characters. One of her best dramatic roles was in the tearjerker As Clouds Roll By, for which she received praise for her acting ability. People used to confuse her with another Shaw actress Li Ching (backwards is Ching Li, as that's the way Chinese read - from right to left).

An extremely talented actress, who had a way of making you feel her joy or pain. She was quite moving, in the Shaw classic Dynasty Of Blood, where she cheated on Chen Kuan-Tai with Ti Lung (in his first role as a villain). Or as the fiesty patriot ready to die for her Country in the film Anonymous Heroes. She was one of many actresses at Shaw Bros' in the 60's, but her personality and her intense drive for perfection set her apart from most other actresses in her field.
