Tan Tao-Kung

Biography
If the name doesn't give him away, it' s not your fault, though he's played in numerous pictures, he's never been center-stage as far as star material is concerned. If he had much better kicking skills, one might put him in the same class as his brother Tan Tao-Liang. I've seen him mostly playing background thugs in his brother's movies. He stood out (just a little bit) in the sometimes confusing film Conspiracy Of Thieves, as it offered him a much bigger role, than we were accustomed to seeing him play.
Though he's not what you'd call a serious threat to most screen heroes, kind of like Chang Chi-Ping, who can fight (when the script call for it), you just don't get to see him do it, as often as you would like to. I guess the powers-that-be took such an interest in his brother, that they just overlooked him. Luckily, his brother thought enough about him to put him in some of him movies. In Duel with The Devils, he played a Japanese soldier, who raped and murder the hero's wife (played by Lung Chun-Erh), setting the stage for revenge and some intriguing fight sequences.
