Biography
Like Meng Yuen-Men, he was the baby of the bunch at his Opera School, when he started training (because he started training at such an early age). He got his first starring role in Fist Of The Unicorn (Bruce Lee & I), along side his real-life sister, Kitty Meng-Chui (whom he'd later star with in the obscure film, The Iron Bull). He gained a lot of roles as a kid (mainly) because of his perfomances and his unique Acrobatic abilities. It wasn't long, before he would soon get the chance to display these talents, in a number of classic films.
He also appeared in Enter The Dragon, as the little kid that Bruce Lee gave the rope to the boat, that Peter Archer (the white guy, that was kicking around the Chinese guys on the boat) was tricked into. (Note: Peter Archer almost drowned in real life, while taping that scene). He's co-starred in numerous films with his buddy Bruce Liang during the early '70s, in such films as Bruce, D-Day At Macau, Little Godfather From Hong Kong, and Call Me Dragon. He career really seemed to take off, when he appeared in films like Buddha Assassinators and Hell's Wind Staff (two of his best). Both starred Wang Jang-Li, whom he would later double for in Hitman In The Hand Of Buddha (during the tumbling scenes). He's also worked with fellow friend Yuen Kwei, on a number of films in the "Stunt and Choreography" department. His work with actress (and former girlfriend) Cynthia Rothrock, helped her achieve fame overseas, with Blonde Fury. In (1985) he won the Best Supporting Actor award, for his role in Yes, Madam. He's come a long way in the industry and is still active today (mostly, behind the scenes). |
