Biography
Here's a face you'll most likely see in a crowd in kung fu movies. In The Chinatown Kid, he played a Hot Dog vendor, in Attack Of The Kung Fu Girl he played an Inn keeper. He can be found in the background (crowd scenes) in a number of kung-fu films. Working on some of Kung Fu's most memorable movies such as When Tae Kwon Do Strikes, with Angela Mao . He has worked for both Shaw Brothers and Golden Harvest, so he knew the business from two important aspects. I've never seen him in a fighting role that I can think of (and I'm thinking). I believe he played a much bigger role Behind-the-scenes, as he's been in a great deal of films.
Like most of the veteran actor's at Shaw Brothers, he was one of those Character actors, that could (and would) pop up, wherever the scene called for crowd scenes, policemen, Food sellers, etc .... they did, whatever was needed. Like a number of the older actors, many would fluctuate between studios, as if they were Stuntmen. The stars were the ones that the studios kept secure reigns on, so character actors, seemed to gain more exposure, because of their freedom, to move around. He has worked for Grandview, Cathay, Shaw Brothers, Golden Harvest, and various, Independent studios during his acting career.
