Biography
Another Shaw Bros' veteran, who has appeared in numerous kung-fu film. Often, as an Intellectual or a Monk, always there, to give advice or to be of some helpful assistance. He was prominent in most of Shaw Bros' top films, working in every genre the studio shot. He was another of their stars, who could be seen in countless productions, as far back as the early 60's. He was (also) one of the few Shaw actors, who finished out their career, at the studio.
He was one of the better character actors who seemed to like to stay in the background, for some reason. In many of the films he's appeared in, he always seemed to have some type of "Inside Information" on the town's people. In Magnificent Ruffians, he knew all of Lu Feng's sword techniques, which helped the others to defeat him. Where he doesn't add to the fighting in a film, he would always be one of the films' better actors.

Like many of the studio's veterans, he played a senior Monk in 36th Chamber Of Shaolin (Master Killer), who taught monk Sante, how to cross the water in front of the Dining Hall (so that he could eat). In Executioners From Shaolin, he helped Chen Kuan-Tai to consumate his marriage to Lily Li's, as his Tiger's Claw was no match for her Crane-style (their foreplay consisted of kung-fu moves). A very good actor, who always seems to do a very good job in the films he played in. Though, he never did any actual fighting in these films, fans didn't really seem to mind.
