Biography
He starred in Drunken Tai-Chi as the "Buck-toothed" teacher, who trains Donnie Yen in the finer points of Tai-Chi. He appeared in 6 Directions Of Boxing, along side his father (Yuen Hsiao-Tien) and younger brother (Yuen Yat-Choi). You can find him (if you look closely) in smaller parts in earlier Shaw Bros' films, as well as some shot at Golden Harvest, like Dreadnaught and the zany Miracle Fighters. A very good martial artist, he became the second one in the family to become a choreographer by working along side Tang Chia (one of Shaw's top choreographers and his father's number one student).
He seems to like playing the silly (comedic) parts (as an old man or an old woman) though, sometimes, they can be overdone, they're almost, always very funny. Films like, Shaolin Drunkard, Taoism Drunkard, and A Heroic Fight, will find him at his silliest. Later, like (Wilson Tong), he would venture into the world of "Vampires & Ghosts", shooting a number of these films, which a lot of people are obviously big fans of. As his brother Yuen-Woo-Ping's popularity and workload grew (by working on The Matrix and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), he sought his chance and began choreographing blockbusters as well.

His work in Hollywood include - Daredevil and both Charlie's Angels films (look for him as the evil General at the beginning of Charlie's Angels-2).It is safe to say, that their family has kept the kung-fu spirit, alive and well in today's Hollywood. Even though it's mostly satirical and somewhat void of practicality, and may do so, for many years to come. Undoubtedly, the money they make off of one blockbuster film, has let them see that the "Fruits of their labor", have truly paid off, in the end. Their father, would have been proud.
