Biography
As Sonny Chiba's #1 nemesis in most of his movies, this guy can be a real pain in your ass. As the villainous "Junjo" in The Street Fighter series, he gave stirring performances as the stiff Karate-man who stayed on Chiba's tail, hoping for that one big fight to prove who was the best. I mean, who do you know that walks through the streets with their Sais (Fork-like weapons) up under their coat, just waiting for the chance to use them?
He had gotten his throat ripped-out, (Streetfighter-1), only later to show up again (complete with "voice-box"), still trying to kill him. (You've got to love this guy's consistency). In Sister Streetfighter, he played "Hammer Head" - another vicious killer called in to dispose of the sexy Sue Shiomi. He has also gone up against with veteran Karate man and good friend Yasuaki Kurata, in the classic Tiger's Claws.
Though he does make a good villain, he has this "Bela Lugosi" (Dracula) thing, going on with his face, which makes him doubly frightful. His talents were totally wasted in Roaring Fire, where he played a nice guy for a change (dying about 3 minutes into the film) and the father of Henry Sanada. He could have been used as another villain, as they definitely needed one with skill.

Yet, my favorite character he's played, would have to be the blinded villain from Dragon Princess. Even after he had his eyes poked out, he seemed to become more vicious and had it not been for an audio deficiency, he may have been even tougher. He's probably the best known of the villains that starred in Chiba's films, lending his hand to some of the best work Chiba (and his crew) have done. (Deceased)
