Biography
I first saw him in the hit The Crystal Fist, as the kung-fu teacher who didn't really know how to fight. He can be found in about (3) of films that Billy Chong made. He's been around for a while, playing background parts in films like The Prodigal Boxer with Meng Fei and in Shaw Bros' Disciples Of Death with Fu Sheng. Skill-wise, he's not that bad, but most of the movies that he's played in don't really show him as a serious fighter. He can be found in a number of earlier Shaw Brothers films , as most during this time - he was an extra/stuntman.
His best showing was going against Carl Scott in the film A Hard Way To Die, where he displayed the type of skill that you'd like to see more often. While, he did decent work in The Cheeky Chap, he was still over-shadowed, by Wei Pai's. This was one of a number of filmsthat he's appeared in, that didn't really do him justice - as an actor or a fighter. In most cases, it was the star of the film's turn to shine and not his. I would have liked to have seen him in a much bigger role in Kung Fu Executioner, but, as small as it was, he still put in a pretty good showing (acting and fighting-wise).
