Liang Shao-Hua

Biography
When I first saw him, he was playing "Pigtail Liang" - a ruthless killer, who used his pigtail, as a deadly weapon. In Fists Of The Double K, he went up against Henry Yu-Yung, where his skills looked damn good. Their fight was one of the highlights of a film that had numerous great fights. His techniques were very sharp and the way he was swinging that pigtail around, I thought his head was going to fall off. When I saw him in the film, Kung Fu Massacre, I got another chance to someone using the "3-sectional Nunchaku" - with 2 Graves Of Kung Fu (with Liu Chia-Yung) being the first. In films like this, he looked good and his skill level seemed to be, above average.
After that, everything that everything I saw him in, seemed mediocre at best, as he wasn't used to the best of his abilities, in the roles he starred in. Other than a pretty good showing in Land Of The Brave (starring Cheung Nick), he hasn't done anything that I would consider a stellar performance. The part he had in The Young Dragon, got totally overshadowed by Bruce Le and he didn't get much time on the screen in the film, Enter 3 Dragons. Like so many actors, who had began to make a name for themselves during the early stages of the genre, he too, was replaced by much more talented actor/fighters.
Soon, his star started to fade and we saw less and less of him. Given his performances onscreen (when he first came out), you would think that he would have had a big future in kung-fu films. I think he could have pulled off a leading role in some Independent productions and as desperate as some of the producers of these films were, I'm suprised that it never happened. He (also) fared well in Real Kung Fu, Pt.1, which was a decent movie (regardless of the poor dubbing), yet roles like this one, seemed to come less frequently, in a career, that was filled with "up & down" performances.
