Biography
A fighter with very good skills (when he's allowed to use them), he's appeared in a number of classic films, but never really given the chance to shine as often as he should have. He has fought the likes of John Liang in a number of films such as Thundering Mantis, Sleeping Fist, and Postman Fights Back. It seems that in the late 70's and early 80's, he was a very busy man - appearing as the villain, in a great deal of movies.
He's a very capable fighter, even going up against Wang Jang Li in the Hitman In The Hand of Buddha I've seen him come up in Kung Fu films, starring in "thug" roles or as a background fighter. He wasn't bad in The Phantom Killer, but was outshined by the phantom, not to mention Wei Pai. A very versatile actor, in that he has made the transition to modern films easily.
He was one actor who seemed to fit into any genre, playing each role to the fullest. He got to do what most of his era, could only dream about, when he starred in Lethal Weapon-4 along Jet Li (unfortunately, it wasn't a fighting role). It seems that he is mostly at home, with regular acting roles, as opposed to fighting ones, which (given his age) is probably best for him now. His career has spanned over (30) years and he seems like, he's just beginning.
