Biography

Usually playing the villain of sorts, in that he has that look. Another Shaw Bros' actor, who toiled in supporting roles, never to really make a dent in the Superstar category. As with most of the non-martial artists, he learned enough moves to become believable and that's about it. Clearly visible in The Cannibals (starring Chang Yi), his role lasted less than 3-minutes. He seemed to always get smaller acting roles - The Devil's Mirror, was another one.

He had a decent role in Lady With A Sword, but the action came mostly thanks to Shaw sexy siren Lily Ho. Never one of the supporting actors to rise to the status of star, he was to forever play in mostly background roles. Films like The 6 Assassins and Vagabond Swordsman, really didn't do too much to give him meatier roles. His work at Shaw Bros' and with Independent companies never really elevated his star, in the Martial World.
