Biography
He's paid big dues in the film business, playing in some very good movies in the process. Under contract with Shaw Bros' in the early stages of his career, he had villain written all over his face. He's fought against the best including Fu Sheng, Chi Kuan-Chun, as well as along side some of the genres best villains, Chiang Tao, and Feng Ko-An, to name a few. He eventually, became one of the most dependable henchmen, in anyone's films. He displayed the type of disdain for his foes, that villain roles, seemed like the only thing he could play. Though this wasn't true, it was just that he was so god at being bad, that he got stereo-typed that way.
One of his best performances was in The Crazy Couple for Golden Harvest. He looked fierce (though it didn't last long), but, it was a good performance and it showed us, just what he was capable of, in the right role. Earlier film roles, though they showed his skills, I don't think he really was allowed to express himself to his fullest potential. In films like Heroes 2 and Disciples Of Death, he seemed more at home (as most seem to in Shaolin type films) and actually had more to do. He actually, became a much better villain, than his brother (thanks to Chang Cheh) and was used more often, in many of his films.
He got to play along side his real-life brother Wang Chung in numerous films including The Savage 5 and The Blooded Treasury Fight. He also starred in Eagle Shadow Fist, with a young Jackie Chan, which was probably one of his better film roles. I, personally, liked him in the interesting Naked Comes The Huntress and The Prodigal Boxer, playing Yasuaki Kurata's brother. They would (constantly) torment Meng Fei, trying to provoke him into fighting them, so that they could kill him. This was the type of films, where he truly excelled in and were some of the best performances of his career.
