Biography
Born in Hong Kong her background in kung-fu looks just impressive as she does. Lama Fist, Acrobatics, and Jeet Kune Do (?), were just some of this talented beauty's arsenal. She took aim at stardom and though it was slow coming, she would emerge one of the genre's top female performers. Her first role was actually in a Shaw Bros' film - Rivals Of Kung Fu, which also featured "up-and-coming" impersonator Bruce Le.
Films like Kid From Kwangtung, showed us what we already knew, that given the right role, she could shine. Yet, one of my favorite films from her, would have to be Story Of Drunken Master -- where she got to display her acting, acrobatics, as well as her skills in fighting. She is one of the few Kung Fu actresses (with the exception of Hui Ying Hung) to have had a successful career from the 70's through the 90's.
Working at "Goldig Film Studios", she rose thru the ranks, starring in hits like the Duel Of The 7 Tigers and then the enjoyable 2 Wondrous Tigers. She found work in television at TVB (Hong Kong Television) appearing in costume dramas, only (occasionally) returning to the screen to make feature films. Films like Princess Madam and Angel Terminators, only garnered her a number of new fans, as she still displayed the same awesome talent, that made her famous. She has entertained us throughout her career and (periodically), continues to do so.
