Biography
Another actor from Chang Cheh's stable of talent, he's a guy who's put a lot of effort into his roles. He's appeared in countless films with top-notched actors, so you know he knows his craft. Actors like Fu Sheng, Ti Lung, and David Chiang, and others have put him through his paces and he's come out better for the experience. Not a bad fighter, though his movement always seemed a bit off. Seems he constantly did just enough to get your interest up and then next thing you know, he's dead. He was one of those actors, that the director wasn't sure (exactly) where to use him, to get the most out of him.
I think he's the only guy, who doesn't play a villain (often), that gets killed all the time (this guy has died more times than Lo Mang). Like most, he got his start at Shaw Bros' and in later years went the Independent route (no binding contracts). When he made Dragon Lord (with Jackie Chan) for Golden Harvest studios, where you could see he had been lifting weights, as he had gained some more size. Yet, his part in that movie was no more than as an extra, which is a shame, because he definitely had potential as an actor.

He had a decent part in Budo Wing and in Shaolin Disciple (probably one of his biggest roles), he fared well against Jimmy Liu and veteran character actor Ku Feng. He wasn't too bad in Bruce Le's Greatest Revenge, but like others, he seemed to be overshadowed by a better supporting cast of co-stars. He's the type guy that has to have something to do in a movie to really standout, or you'll never truly know his potential. He was also listed as an "Assistant Choreographer" on the obscure film, The Eagle's Killer - (starring Wang Jang-Li and John Chang), which I found odd, because he's never worked as a choreographer in any capacity, during the majority of his acting career.
