Biography
A close friend of Jackie Chan and one of his top stuntmen, "Mars" (as he is known to his friends), has been in countless films. Though they didn't do much for his career (as a leading man), they did help to establish him as one of the genre's best stuntmen. It was a learning experience, as he moved up the ranks from "Extra-to-Stuntman", all the way to a One-time leading man. That movie was Lackey & The Lady Tiger. Though, it was a pretty good vehicle for him, it still didn't have directors beating down his door, to make him the star of another movie.
A quick eye would have caught him playing in Enter The Dragon as the first guard Bruce Lee surprises with a flurry of punches. If that didn't do it for you, he's the guard Bolo stomps, before killing a few more unlucky palace guards. He also impressed me in The Legendary Strike and Bruce Li, The Invincible, where he showed some decent skills acting as well as fighting. He was accused of trying to copy Jackie, when he starred in Lackey & The Lady Tiger (right down to the sleeveless outfit), as it was a rip-off of Snake In The Eagle's Shadow.

I remember, they said the same thing about Billy Chong about The Jade Claw (Crystal Fist), when it came out. Mainly, because he (too) had a sleeveless outfit and Yuen Hsiao-Tien played his master. His appearances in Bruce Li, The Invincible and Fists & Guts boast the first time [that I can remember] someone has used his face, to disguise themselves. Yet, he's paid so many dues, that no one really cared that it was a remake, only that it was entertaining and had very good fight scenes in it. Like so many other stuntmen, he came up the ranks after years of hard work and dedication to his craft. He used to works with Jackie as the head of his Hong Kong stunt team - and that statement in itself, speaks volumes on how he is viewed with the Hong Kong industry.
