Yi Lei
Biography
He was the son of the late comedian Yi Chiu-Suew, who was very popular with the Cantonese theater crowd. Young Yi started in film playing "bad guy" roles, before utilizing his given comic skills. He reminds me a “Ross” from the television show - Friends, but acts like Dean Shek on the screen. He was said to be afraid of the dark and was very superstitious. He would wear a blue overcoat whenever his films were released - for good luck. Some of his closest friends included Alan Teng and Chen Kuan-Tai. Ironically, before Dean Shek ventured into Comedy, he was considered the most popular comedian of the early to late 70's.
