Biography
This crafty actor is no where near a "Lean-mean-fighting-Machine" (though he is lean), but he's cut out more for Comedy, than someone you'd meet in the "Banyon Grove" and duel you, to the death. He has starred in a number of successful comedies such as Mr. Funny Bone, Crazy Bumpkins, Return Of The Con Men, as well as director Li Han-Hsiang's popular series of films on the Emperor Chien Lung. He looked surprisingly like the Chinese cartoon character Mr. Funny Bone, which is why the movie was probably so popular.
He played an array of characters, usually the "sneaky" types (those that are destined to get killed) in most films. He stood out in the action hit, The Young Hero and again in the Shaw Bros' classic Boxer From The Temple. He's not one to totally carry a movie (unless it's a Comedy), but just as any other character actor, you can say he's earned his stripes by excellent showings, in a variety of roles.
