Biography
Whether he's being vicious or trying to be good, you can always find him scheming in the background to do you in and take your place. Another actor from Shaw's vast stable of stars who actually worked as much as most of their top (action) stars. Sometimes you may even catch him fighting (trying to at least) in films like Oath Of Death, but most of the time he's plotting someone's demise like in Shaolin Martial Arts.
He is one of a handful of actors who could play the part of a sinister boss without having to actually fight, like Chiang Nan. In a favorite of mine - 7 Blows Of The Dragon, he played underhanded Governor Liang, who couldn't contain the "Mountain Bandits" after trying to kill the chief. But, he has had a career lasting from the 60's thru the 80's in an array of kung-fu films. Most of which he played a "back-stabber" that you couldn't wait to see get his. Now, that's acting.
