Where Polly Shang-Kuan and Lung Chun-Erh can make you sit up and cheer, when this lady hits the screen and smiles, it's Intermission time (Bathroom break, get some snacks) before the real action parts come on. She's all talk (acting) and very little action. One of many actresses who have entered the fighting genre, only to give us bland performances in various kung-fu films. She tried her hands at fighting in the slamming 7 Steps Of Kung Fu, but Chang Shan put her (and us) out of misery.
After appearing in the film The Jade Fox, that became her nickname whenever people (especially Men), referred to her (in this case Fox meaning Sexy. And it's not that she couldn't act, it's just that her acting wasn't suited for martial-arts movies. She was a former Model and that's where her real skill was, as she was posted in scores of Asian magazines throughout the mid to late 70's.

She basically fell in the "Glamour-girl" category like Shirley Yu, and people probably thought that they could spice up these movies. But, they were wrong. When it comes to Kung Fu films, it's either "Put up or shut up" and as these films were all about fighting. That's all true fans of the genre have come to know and wouldn't settle for less.
