Biography
Talk about Wall Flowers (background performers). Say the word "Wallflower" and expect to see her pop-up out of the ground. Always one of the first to scream for "Help, someone please save me" - she was one of the premire Damsels-in-Distress. She possessed - no fighting skills - nor have I ever seen her, pretend that she could fight and yet, she somehow got the best of an already wounded Chen Kuan-Tai, in the obscure movie classic - Hero Of Shanghai. As an actress, she seemed to over-act quite often, though I must commend her on that, as least she was consistent.
In the movie Ma Su-Chen, Rebel Boxer she was singing the most annoying song, even when the camera wasn't on her (I guess the cameraman went for some earplugs). As far as kung-fu movies go, she seemed content to scream for help from captors who are always trying to sell her to a brothel (Furious Slaughter) or rape her. In this film, Jimmy Wang-Yu kept trying to help her, which didn't end well. Another Dramatic actress stuck in Kung Fu films, where she has done some decent work. Her best being the film Well Of Doom, where she got to show her true skills - Acting. She even won a Golden Horse (Oscar), for her part in the film. This was one of her earliest films and it seemed to set the stage, for a fruitful career.
