Biography
The father of martial-arts screen actors Bruce Liang and Liang Siu-Hung, did most of his best work behind the camera as a Choreographer of many films. He is instrumental in discovering Carl Scott on the set of Bruce Lee, The Man & The Myth. He also taught him "Leopard-style" kung-fu for his part in the film, A Hard Way To Die. After leaving Shaw Bros', he became the main choreographer for Eternal Films, which played a major role in making stars out of both Scott and Billy Chong.
Though, I have not seen him in many films, you can clearly see his talent shine through as the old master in the classic A Hard Way To Die. He has helped choreographed films for Bruce Li and also helped with his son's film, 10 Tigers of Shaolin. I think his claim to fame came, because he was (also) instrumental in teaching Shaw stars martial-arts in the late 60's (which was essential for those pursuing roles in Swordplay Films). This was initially the job of Liu Chia-Liang and Tang Chia, but they basically worked with the more well-known stars such as David Chiang, Ti Lung, and Fu Sheng.

He initially, cut his teeth on such films as - Lady Hermit, The Black Enforcer, and Imperial Swordsman, just to name a few. He was mentored by Han Ying-Chieh, who was instrumental in him working at Shaw studios. He, in turn, was the man who helped to groom Tommy Lee, for his job as a Choreographer. A number of Shaw's early Swordplay films, have benefitted greatly, because of his hard work and dedication.
