Biography
Having appeared in numerous movies together, it was only a matter of time before she would find the love of her life in a boyish, shy, sometimes silly, [but always charismatic] young actor by the name of Fu Sheng. She was introduced to him by Ti Lung and his girlfriend (now wife Amy Tao). They were married in December of 1976.
Though she was more of an actress than a fighter, she was not to be overshadowed (too much), by her husband's stardom, as she was an accomplished Singer when they met. They even sing together in the movie Heaven & Hell, where they played a couple (art imitating life). She has such a beautiful voice, which can be heard on a few of his films, such as - Deadly Breaking Sword and Heroes Shed No Tears, where she sang the title songs.
Though, they were one of Shaw Bros' most famous couple, their lives would see it's share of tragedy. They had planned to have a family (he desperately wanted a son), only to find out that she couldn't have children (at that time). With her singing career in full swing, he would suffer a severe head injury on the set of Deadly Breaking Sword and later break both his legs, in a fall while filming. Then on July 7, 1983, she would receive the news that rocked the kung-fu film world. He sustained severe injuries from a car crash and later died.

Eventually, she weathered the storm and moved on with her life, but she (like most of us), would never forget the man who helped to change her life (and ours), for years to come. She would later remarry and have a daughter - Melody. Her singing career is still going strong. To kung-fu fans around the world, she will always be remembered for her first love, Fu Sheng, as it was through him, that we would come to know her.
