Biography
You will almost, always, find this man playing "Scholarly" gentlemen, who has some type of inside information on someone or playing someone's dad, yet, always willing to help out whenever he could. Another name, in a short list of fine actors, who could hold their own, against anyone that you put next to them, on the screen. He was a veteran actor and someone, that most kung-fu fanatics would overlook, because, he didn't display any fighting skills. I remember him playing Fu Sheng's dad, in The Chinatown Kid and as Gordon Liu's dad, in 36 Chambers Of Shaolin..
His advice was (definitely) instrumental, in the excellent weapons film, Magnificent Ruffians, starring The Venoms. He knew some of the villain's favorite strokes, and he passed this information on to Kuo Chui and Chiang Sheng , in hopes of stopping Lu Feng's deadly reign. Again, fine performances, from a fine actor. He was one of Shaw Bros' most prominent and dependable stars in the 60's thru 80's. He was, also, one of their many stars, who showed his loyalty by staying with the company, until they closed (in the mid 80's).
