Biography
He started out, as the next "Big thing" in producer's bid to find the New King Of Kung Fu. Later in his career, he would be regulated to supporting roles. The first time I saw him, was in the Yellow Tiger Vs Black Dragon a rip-off of Bruce Lee's Return Of The Dragon, and let me tell you (if you haven't seen it), it was terrible. He was big and muscular, but that's about it. He tried to use Nunchakus with grace, but, wound up looking worst than any of Lee's (other) imitators, instead. I'm sure that even he, didn't know what he was doing (but) the producers had put their plan in motion, trying to capitalize on Lee's death. It was rumored that he changed his name to Tang Lung (after Lee's character in Return Of The Dragon), and has keep it ever since.
He found minor fame in such films as The Ferocious Brothers and The 2 Tigers. His kicks and punches, were too mechanical to have been taken seriously and his star soon faded, before he settled into background roles. He looked far better in the films like - Ninja Exterminators and The Invisible Terrorists, than almost anything he's done. As fate would have it, his younger brother Alexander Lo, would have a much better (longer) film career, in the early '80s. They both appeared in Shaolin Chastity Kung Fu, a filmed helmed by Shaw renegade Robert Tai. The film had its' moments, but considering all the talent within the film, it should have been much better.
