Biography
Though he's more comical than he is ferocious, he can almost pass for Jackie Chan (he looks like he could be his younger brother). He, too, could be very entertaining. He's not what you'd consider a Kung-fu Fighter, but, in the excellently crafted Dragon From Russia (produced by Dean Shek), he showed that he could go the distance. This film, could have been the prototype for the Matrix-type films. In this film, it was probably his best showing (as a fighter) and he did a pretty good job.
Earlier in his career, he scored a major hit with the film Back Alley Princess. His co-star, was kung-fu star Polly Shang-Kuan, whose comedic performance earned her a Golden Horse (Oscar). In, what would probably become his greatest feat, he and his brothers unseated Chan at the box-office with the film Security Unlimited, which broke all box-office records at that time. This film was the forerunner to all of Jackie's stuntwork, as it consisted of "death-defying" stunts that were not used at that time. It was because of the Hui Brothers, that Chan saw the power of Comedy (at the box-office).

He was an accomplished Singer, long before his film career took off. He was a member of the band The Lotus, who were very popular in Hong Kong in the early 70's. He wrote and sang the title song on his brother's hilarious film The Private Eyes. He and his brother Michael, also, had their own successful "Comedy Show" on television. A friend of Bruce Lee, (he used to receive "Private Lessons" from him), he was in footage of Lee's funeral. Here, you could clearly see him paying his respects, to his good friend.
