Biography
If you like silly, then you'll love this man. I (almost) wet my pants, watching him play the senior Monk (fighting against Samo Hung) in The Victim. When it was his turn to punch again and couldn't (because he was severely hurt) was a trip. He, actually, went to school in America, then returned (back) to Hong Kong and began making films. He, along with Dean Shek, and Raymond Wong, founded the "Cinema City Film Company" - which gave starts to director John Woo and "up-and-coming" director Tsui Hark.
He, also, co-owned the "Gar Bo Film Company" with partners Samo and Liu Chia-Yung. He prefers to take Supporting roles as opposed to leading one (probably because he was too busy), yet, the films he appear in, are always (tremendously) funny. Outside of the popular Aces Go Places series, he turned in an excellent performance in Fatty Dragon, Skinny Tiger where film partners Samo and Liu Chia-Yung joined him. Not too keen on playing serious action roles, his cameo in the film Golden Needles (starring Jim Kelly), was a pleasant surprise. He, also, worked on the successful "James Bond" film, The Man With The Golden Gun.
