Biography
Known to millions around the world as the old man from Enter The Dragon, who gives Han's bodyguard, Ohara, his facial scar and who tells Bruce Lee what happened to his sister, Sue Lin (Angela Mao). He's been around for a very long time; he's played in classics like The Fate Of Lee Khan and semi-classics - The Young Dragon with Bruce Le, and cult-classics 36 Chambers Of Shaolin (as the Senior Monk).
He can be found working with some of the greatest actors and actresses in the history of kung-fu cinema. Once again, we see an actor of great talent, working with people sometimes half his age, because of a shortage of viable movie roles. People like Chiang Yang, Ching Miao, and a few more elite actors from the Shaw Bros' stable of Dramatic actors. It's very rare to find him giving a bad performance. I remember him being the first person to be beheaded with the guillotine-type weapon in, The Dragon Missile.
While, not a fighter, you would always find him playing a Monk (Shaolin Temple) or a number of elderly characters, who were (often) beaten or killed (Iron-Fisted Monk) in the streets. He was one of a number of veteran Shaw actors, who would always pop up in crowd scenes or someone with some type of inside information. The film The Dragon Missile, he played a doctor, who had the (unfortunate) task of treating a double crossing Emperor (played by Ku Feng).
