Biography
Add him, to the ever-growing list of actors, who were trying to make a name for themselves during the 70's and 80's. Normally, playing in Comedic roles, he did pretty good work in The Young Master with Jackie Chan and showed off his acting abilities to good effect in Samo Hung's Magnificent Butcher. Though, not quite star material, he seems to always make his presence known when he's in a movie. Like many "overweight" actors, he didn't seem to mind making fun on his weight or having others do so.
Considering the fact, that his not much in the fighting department, he usually plays the "slow-witted" student, who would like to learn kung-fu (Snake In The Eagle's Shadow) or the student, who thinks he knows more than he actually does (Eagle's Killer). Yet, most of the time, he's being used as a "Human Punching Bag" (HPB). His comedic talents were never brought to the forefront, as they were in Hong Kong Playboys with Shaw Bros' favorite Fu Sheng. Though, far removed from the kung-fu scene, he could still be seen in some of the late 80's films.
