Biography
Another stuntman/acrobat from the Fu Hsing Opera School, that some of kung-fu's top performers studied at a young age, before hitting the silver-screen and blowing our minds, with their stunning performances. As most of his classmates, he would (eventually) work at Shaw Brothers on what would come to be, cult-classics. His closest friend during these years, was fellow classmate,Robert Tai, whom he would eventually, leave the studio with, to strike out on his own. They can be seen (along with other classmates) in Killer From Above, starring Lo Lieh.
He played the treacherous guard who smothered Lo Mang (after his strength was weakened by the "Iron Maiden"), in The 5 Deadly Venoms. He was a part of the "Double-Ax" duo, pairing with venom member Chiang Sheng, in the star-studded cast of Kid With The Golden Arm. And he was Wang Lung-Wei's right-hand man in Unbeatable Dragon (Invincible Shaolin), who causes havoc amongst both parties of Shaolin, in the attempt to destroy them both. He's played in a lot of films with Venoms films, but never as a standout performer and considering his skills, he should have been given more to do in these films.
His most famous role would be that in 2 Heroes, Shooting Stars, where he played the villain opposite one of his classmates Li I-Min, along with Chi Kuan-Chun in the sizzling finale (showing why he's one of a lot of under-rated performers). He got to utilize all of his skills, in the funny-but-interesting, Dreaming Fist, with Slender Hands. Here, he and his real-life classmate Ching Kuo-Chung, spent just as much time training, as they did making me laugh. He was said to have returned to his old Opera School (as an instructor), in order to teach the next group of up-and-coming, Peking Opera stars.
