For those who grew up watching kung-fu movies at the theater and later on television, when the genre faded, all seemed lost. Yet, there are thousands of die-hard fans, which still to this day, seek rare and hard-to-find movies on video of the films they remember from the 60's thru the 80's.
Here, you'll find an array of different subjects all leading to one common thread - Martial Arts Movies. Kung-fu has many faucets and this website serves to satisfy even the most cynical of fans. From the novice to the fanatic, there is something here for everyone, even fans of the Japanese genre - Samurai Films. What started as a labor of love has blossomed into even more than I could ever imagine and now it seems more of a calling than a quest to learn, search, entertain, and educate.
Initially started in 1995, I was merely "testing-the-water" to see if I could locate films I'd seen as a kid and see how many true kung-fu fans still existed. I was shocked to see that this passion still has thousands (possibly millions) still searching and re-examinating this genre in the year 2004, more than (30) years since it began. Now, with the reassurgance of this sub-culture and the unearthing of these past treasures, we are now moving into the resurrection of the genre.
This website is here to maintain a secure base for the true kung-fu fan, those who still seek the knowledge thought lost over the past few decades. I, too, am still learning and as my knowledge in this genre increase, I am able to give something back in appreciation for all that I've learned. This is why my website exists.
As with any hobby, it runs the risk of becoming an obsession. Not many people can truthfully say that they are hardcore fans, as most only remember certain elements of the genre. But for those, still clinging on to movies, magazines, and posters from the 70's and 80's, who have truly crossed that line - Welcome.
