Also known as Pearl Cheung, this devilish woman from Taiwan has played in a bunch of movies where you'd almost have to be "high" to enjoy. And, since I don't indulge, it can be a real pain for me to have to sit through one of them, since I hate movies with outrageous flying. She reminds me of
Tien Peng, in that most of her movies has a lot of Flying and "Special-effects" (choppy editing/sped up movements) in them.
She can be pretty decent at times in her techniques, but it never really lasts that long, as you'll remember the special effects, more than you will a punch or a kick from her. In Venus - the Ninja, she did her Jesus impersonation by walking on water. She has more strings attached to her than a box full of puppets in most of her films, helping her jump onto mountains or fly in front of horses. She would later become known mostly for her Devil Woman character.
Which always makes me wonder, if you can jump over 100 feet in the air, how in the hell do most of the characters still end up getting killed? But, for the most part, she is more entertaining (in a Peter Pan kind of way), than she is deadly. She would eventually start producing films like actor
Kao Fei and it seemed like most of the films she produced, never live up to her earlier (best) work like China Armed Escort.
